WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU AS LEARNER DRIVER
Driving on a public road is one of the most responsible things you could ever do. The car that seems so easy to drive also has the unfortunately ability to hurt somebody, and that could be someone close to you. The Cork Branch of the RSA School of Motoring can teach you to drive safely. However you must first agree to follow our requirements.
Obviously you don’t want to bump the car - or someone else’s car for that matter. We have developed a unique curriculum that takes you smoothly through all the stages of becoming good enough to pass the government test and get a driving licence. All we ask is that you listen to your approved driving instructor and do as they say. Does that sound fair to you? If so read on.
THE THREE MOST IMPORTANT PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE RIGHT NOW
-
THE APPROVED DRIVING INSTRUCTOR WHO IS GOING TO TEACH YOU
You choose your ADI approved instructor directly from the RSA website. The fact that there is no set fee means you have a great opportunity to find the person who looks like a good fit, but who also has an affordable fee so please feel free to negotiate. After you narrow down your choice to someone who looks like the right person, find a review or two about them on our website. We want you to make the best choice so you enjoy passing your driving test.
The Advanced Driving Instructor that you select is the person who provides all your formal driver training so you are confident of completing the entire Essential Driver Training Program that you can learn more about here. In essence, this is a far-reaching 12-module method that we developed especially so you cover all the official requirements. As you complete the process you find yourself progressively experiencing - and solving the challenging conditions that confront County Cork drivers every day.
-
THE FAMILY MEMBER, FRIEND OR EMPLOYER WHO IS GOING TO PAY
If you need assistance with paying for your Essential Driver Training then the good news is that you need not be on your own. The best place to find a person to sponsor you by paying for your driver training is most likely to be your parents, your best friend, your wider family - or even where you work. What’s especially neat about our system is we price the sessions individually so more than one person can help spread the load.
You should explain to them that being a sponsor is more simply paying money. Because your sponsor(s) care so much about you, they will want to track your progress with your ADI instructor so they can add value and advice as you go along. It would be just perfect if they were with you in the car during at least a few training sessions.

THE STAR OF THE SHOW – YOU, THE PERSON HERE TO LEARN
We cannot over-emphasise that you have a job of work to do. You need to take it seriously in order to pass and nobody but you can do it. So please, work with and not against your ADI. They have the experience you need and that’s the only way to get it!
If you work well together and you listen to what they say then there’s no reason why you can’t pass the test and get your driver’s licence. The first time you drive solo you will realise how important it was to ask the right questions, and practice as much as possible between training sessions, making sure there is always a licenced driver beside you in the passenger seat.
The more you put into your RSA School of Motoring training, the more you are going to get out. We can teach you to be a safe driver so you can go forward to your government driving test, but it is you and only you who is going to sit behind the steering wheel when you drive alone. So please take the opportunity to prepare yourself by learning from the specialists.
We’ll teach you how to drive safely if you have the desire to learn. Are you ready to slip into the driver’s seat and start? You bet you are so click the mouse. We’ll be with you all the way to that great day when you’re ready to take your test and pass!
