Driving Lessons in Cobh
Steep gradients, narrow roads and cruise ship traffic
Bishop's Road climbs steeply from the town centre past St Colman's Cathedral. Tight bends, parked cars on both sides and constant gradient changes demand solid clutch control. Stalling here with traffic behind you is every learner's fear.
Harbour Row runs along the waterfront where parked cars narrow the road to single file in places. Passing oncoming traffic means pulling into gaps between parked vehicles. Summer cruise ship days bring coaches and foot traffic that gridlock the town centre.
The R624 is the only main road connecting Cobh to the N25. Speed limits drop from 100km/h to 50km/h in quick succession on the descent into town. Missing the signs means arriving too fast on roads that are already tight.
Our EDT driving lessons in Cobh cover all 12 mandatory lessons on local roads. Whether you need automatic lessons or pretest preparation for Wilton Test Centre, view our lesson packages or call 021 2355558 to get started.
