You may not know but many years ago Ireland had one of the worst road accident records in Europe. The Road Safety Authority had to do something so they designed a new training syllabus that all new drivers had to complete. The Essential Driver Training or EDT.
The EDT syllabus requires that 12 structured driving lessons have to be completed, stamped and uploaded to the RSA website by a registered ADI.
Learning to drive safely means understanding and practicing particular driving skills and these 12 EDT lessons have been intended to accomplish that.

Getting ready for the Driving Test in Bandon

The skill of driving safely and the art of passing the test should not be confused as the same. You should already have the vital driving skills and road safety knowledge before applying for the test. Our Bandon pretest driving lessons are designed to show you how to beat the test by understanding the conditions you will be placed under.
If the thoughts of sitting the driving test are overwhelming you then you are not the first to feel like this. We naturally fear what we don't understand and the unknown. Well fear not.
It is standard practice by many driving instructors to keep giving you lessons until they 'think' you are ready. Often they will send you to do the test not really knowing if you will pass or not. That is because of a total lack of understanding on how the tester thinks and marks you during the test. This is not how we do things. All our instructors have been trained by ex-testers so they fully understand the driving tester and what they are looking for from you on test day.
We don’t like leaving things to chance. Our pretest training fully simulates the 4 different stages of the driving test and fully prepares you for the way the tester will talk to you and how they mark the test sheet.
When we share this knowledge and understanding with our students it is like giving them all the answers to an exam before they even know the questions. Which is why so many of our student pass first time. That means less lessons and less expense to you.
